Princess of Wales undergoing cancer treatment

Poor woman. A young mother faces much more than just her own suffering; and having to go through this publically must be brutal for her and the family. I hope the press give her some privacy which she deserves.

Cancer Catherine Princess of Wales
I understand some horrid and unscrupulous type had accessed her medical records in order to sell it to the tabloids.

It’s pretty awful that she had to release the announcement of her surgery earlier than, I think, she would have wanted because some idiot wanted to make a quick buck.

Must be awful for William too. He lost his own mum at a young age. This has to be heartbreaking for him as well. He finds out his dad has cancer; then, almost immediately, finds out his wife does too. He recently lost his granny, and his brother is an estranged idiot. Poor guy.

Wishing her all the best.

  1. The princess was almost forced by the Media to disclose the nature of her abdominal surgery. That's cruelty and no compassion for a mother of three young children. Not only does she have to deal with a major illness, but also face shameless Media interference.

    1. Yes, it's awful. People forget they're human.

  2. What a heavy price this brave woman has to pay at such a difficult time in her life.

  3. I hope it is not ovarian cancer. She had preventive chemotherapy but not adjuvant chemotherapy.

  4. Poor women indeed. I've seen some dreadful make up stories regarding the Princess of Wales, now I just skip them by, I'm not into rumours.
It is such a pity that Kate had to make an announcement on video regarding her condition/treatment. I'm hoping all goes well as I'm sure it will as it is a shock.

  5. I find it illegal and immoral that some creep accessed Kate's medical records for any reason, let alone in order to sell the information to the tabloids. Did the Health Dept or the police ever find and charge the criminal? Were the computer systems in this hospital (and perhaps others) ever made confidential?

    1. Hello hels,

I don't know if it's a crime. It might be? But definitely breach of hospital rules, if anything so they should lose their job.

      See this article = https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/kate-middleton-surgery-hospital-security-breach-b2515345.html

  6. In normal times she is a permanent public person , so why all these secrets ? Why such a taboo and arranged pics ? She has cancer like many many many persons and hopefully she may recover cause she
has certainly the best treatments she can get. She is a mortal human being like we all and illness doesn't make a difference between poor or rich.

    1. Hi Chantal,
I think all people have a right to privacy, and I can't think of something more fit for privacy then a person's intimate medical issues and health.
      That's my view.

  7. She deserves privacy, but I suspect the some members of the media will continue to dig until they find out more. It's disgraceful.

  8. Kate could have avoided a lot of controversy by being entirely frank about her medical problems in the first place. Why the need for so much secrecy? Why not tell us why she had abdominal surgery, and why not tell us what type and stage of cancer it is? What's the problem?

    1. Hello Nick,

I've never experienced cancer myself, but from what I understand people don't want to necessarily share it with other people immediately. Alan Rickman had cancer before he died and didn't tell people, it seems. I think with these kinds of very personal medical issues, the public at large don't have a right to know. It's part of the dignity of privacy. Also, from the article, it seems she wanted the children to be at home for half-term from school before making it 'public'.

  9. She said she is having chemo, which, I know, is exhausting. I have never been so sick in my life as when I had it, and it put me in hospital for 2 nights. Charles may well be going through it too. They really should be given privacy. They have done a fantastic job representing and promoting the country and deserve it.
